Just some of our visitors' reviews...
Date of Visit: September 2011 Unit: Touring Caravan
We have stayed at this twice now, once in September 2010 and then this year at the same time. The location is good, being
within easy reach of the coast at Widemouth (about 1 mile away) and other places by car.
It is possible to walk to the coast but I wouldn't recommend it as the roads are fast and busy, and there are no pavements.
Bude is about 4 miles away, and has all the facilities of a medium-sized town.
The views of the countryside from the site are outstanding, as it high up, but the coast cannot be seen. It can be windy on
this site, but that applies to any site on the coast in my view.
The washing and toilet facilities are very clean, modern and well-lit. Everything worked efficiently. It is possible to
have your own water and grey waste facilities, if you pay a bit more.
The site has a useful shop. It is adjacent to the A39 road, but we were not aware of it once inside the caravan.
Overall it's a very good site, and we intend to go again.
Date of Visit: August 2011 Unit: Tent
Well I cant add much more than people have already said. Shower/toilet facilities very clean, grass still in fairly good
nick considering we were there at end of season. The shop was small but somehow managed to stock everything we needed
(including sealant for our leaky tent!), and considering the captive audience they don't take the mick on pricing.
Same applies to the cafe; a mug of tea was just 90p.
Although I wouldn't like to walk to Widemouth beach (previous reviewer is correct, the road is nasty) the courtesy bus
was excellent - pretty much a taxi, as they dropped us off in Bude and gave us a card, just said to call them when we
wanted picking up - fantastic.
The people who run the site are really friendly, and the picnic benches which come with the electric pitches are a
fantastic idea, especially if you have kids. Will definitely be returning next year!

The welcome was particularly friendly and not pushy, we were given the chance to look around and decide whether to stay. We
pitched in the back field which was lovely and flat all over. Also, considering we were in high season, it had loads of
space for families to play ball games etc.
Toilet and shower facilities were well cleaned and functional with plenty of space.
There was also a children's playground / play area and a small football pitch with goals.
I would recommend this site to old / young and/or families. Lovely views and easy access up and down the coast. It offer basic camping with a toilet block if that's what you want. On top of this there is laundry facilities and a shop/cafe if you want it. These are there for you but without it feeling too commercial or like a holiday 'park'.

We spent a most enjoyable week at this site. The site shop was very handy for buying essentials, and also has a cafe attached, which looked very nice, although we did not need to use it.
The lady on reception was always very helpful, as was the warden who was always smiling and very friendly when passing by on his tractor, nothing was too much trouble for either of them.
The toilets and showers were very clean and pleasant to use. The chemical disposal was exceptional. We would be happy to visit again.
