Just some of our visitors' reviews...
Just wanted to send you an up to date review to place on your website.
What a fab site - they've thought of everything!! Lovely showers, toilets, family bathroom,
reception, shop, cafe, children's play area and pitches plus the very friendly staff.
We used the minibus service several times to go into Bude - this service was excellent and very well
priced! We had a lovely time - thanks again. Michelle, Jordan and Harrison
Thanks for a great weekend, it was great! From the excellent site, nice beaches 2 wonderful breakfast and
the stunning girl who served it!! Will def come again. The 2 SA guys
This is Deborah Taylor, we are booked in 28/8 to 4/9. Unfortunately we must cancel this week as we now have
work commitments we are unable to cancel. Sorry for the inconvenience. WE hope to see you next year as we
had a wonderful time at Widmouth, the facilities are 1st class with a very friendly and helpful customer
service. Regards, Deborah Taylor
From the 1/8/09 to 15/8/09 we stayed with our touring caravan on your site, in company with other close
family with a trailor tent. Originally, we were booked to stay 'next door', but due to the weather and
circumstance beyond their control. they cancelled our pitches owing to water damage and recommended your
site.
This turned out to be a 'blessing in disguise', as your holiday park is exemplary in every way. The
park is kept immaculate, you and your staff have an impeccable aptitude to customer’s service, second to
none, with absolutely nothing being too much trouble. This made our holiday even more exceptional and so I
felt the need to write and extend our thanks once again. However, there is just one small issue, your not
in Lancashire, we can't visit as often as we wished. Many thanks for a lovely holiday.

Just a few lines to say how much we enjoyed our week with you.
The site and facilities were immaculate and does you and your staff great credit.
We will be recommending this site to all our friends and we hope to return in the near future.

We visited this site at the end of August after a very late cancellation from our original destination!
Fortunately for us this campsite only opened this year and had plenty of availability.
I must say I agree with the previous reviews:
Excellent Site. Clean showers and toilets. Lovely play for the kids. Close to good beach (that allow dogs).
The on-site shop was fabulous, stocking locally produced goods (burgers/sausages/chops etc) really nice to see!
There is a nice big field next to the site to let your dog have a good run. The site has amazing views of the
surrounding countryside and you can see miles of rolling hills. As the site is new there is no established planting
and therefore you can be exposed to the weather, This is the only downfall. The staff are very helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return. Visited August 2008.
Super site. We stayed on one of their super pitches which included own water tap, drains, and hook up which
was worth
paying the extra money for. Lovely clean toilets and free hot showers and hairdryer (I am very fussy about
toilets and showers).
Cost £4 for a washing machine token and £1 =30 min drier token (you need at least 2 tokens to dry washing)
so could add up to being a bit expensive if your a large family. The only downside for us was that it was
quite a dangerous walk down to Widemouth Bay on a road with no footpath and the bus stop was nowhere near
site so had to take motorhome into Bude to get shopping. Overall an excellent site and would recommend to
all. Visited August 2008.
Fantastic site. Warm welcome, help getting on pitch. Facilities lovely and clean. Showers spacious and hot.
Cafe and shop on site. Great play area for kids. Security barrier. Lux pitches. Hard standing for van, grass
for awning. Just made it so easy for getting on with holiday would definitely go back. Visited August 2008.
We visited at the beginning of August and on arrival we were greeted with a very friendly manner and he made
our daughter feel special by knowing her name. As it was quiet he gave us a choice of pitches which we really
appreciated. We found all the facilities were excellent very clean and a pleasure to use, We used the cafe
on site once the breakfast was superb and well worth the money. Our daughter made full use of the play area
and had lots of fun. We would recommend this site to anyone and we will return in the future. Many thanks for
a great holiday. Visited August 2008.
We spent a week here at the beginning of August. The campsite is clean, well tended and very well laid out.
Facilities are fantastic; toilets, showers, family bathrooms and laundry/washing up. There are two separate
blocks at different ends of the site. The keeper/manager is attentive and keen to ensure everything is up to
standard. When we arrived the site was quiet but we stayed in the side field. The ground here is not even and
got quite boggy in the rain. My main criticism (and only) is that because the site is new, much of the
vegetation is not fully grown to act as barriers. We were extremely exposed to the wind and it was quite bad
being relatively high up. Anyone visiting Cornwall would be aware of the windy weather antway. However,
if you are looking for quiet, windy free nights this is not the best site for you. We had some very
disturbing nights in the tent and it was difficult to open up the tent and appreciate the beautiful
surroundings during the day because of the wind. we would recommend this site because it was brilliant,
our kids loved it. Visited August 2008.
Wow! What a site. From the friendly welcome, to the pristine facilities, this site, to me, is like Mary
Poppins, practically perfect in every way. The site is brand-new, therefore not too busy, but the pitches
are well spaced out, and well tended. We stayed in the overflow field, which is rougher ground, but has
four electric hook-ups. In Addition to this, there is a tent field. The toilet blocks are brand new and
there are excellent disabled facilities. I was a little surprised that there was no hand soap in the
blocks, but we mentioned this to Gerry the Owner and pump dispessers appeared. The laundry is clean and
well cared for and there are two family bathrooms, should you need a long hot soak. The site is very peaceful
with a fantastic playground for the children and views of the surrounding countryside are wonderful.
We sampled the food in the cafe on site, on two occasions, and found it to be both delicious and filling,
just what you need after a day body boarding. The nearest beach is Widemouth Bay, the surf is good here,
it has lifeguards on duty and a cafe and shop, but is not the commercial bawdy beach you would get further west.
Tintangal and Boscastle are nearby and are very interesting places to visit. The nearest town is Bude,
a very chilled out surfin' dude/duudette kind of place with two more good surfing beaches, lovely cafes/
restaurants and some interesting shops, as well as a large Morrisons for all your food/drink essentials.
If you want a site with marauding teenagers, and drunken chav types, choose a site with a pool, games room,
bar etc. If you want a site you can sit and relax with your family over a bbq and a beer after a days surfing
then this is the site for you. I will be returning to Widemouth Fields. Visited July 2008.
